Stocking for Enhanced Barrier Precautions
Under Enhanced Barrier Precautions, staff wear gowns and gloves for high-contact care of residents who meet CDC’s criteria, and CDC asks facilities to make that PPE available immediately outside the resident room. CMS surveyors have used this guidance in nursing-home surveys since April 28, 2025. Your infection preventionist sets your facility’s program; we supply the gowns, gloves and hand rub to stock it, quoted together on one account.

Every size, and an alternative for staff who need one
California’s bloodborne pathogens standard requires employers to make gloves readily accessible in appropriate sizes, and to provide alternatives for employees who are allergic to the gloves normally provided. We quote the full size run you need, and an alternative — another nitrile line or a vinyl glove — for staff who need one.
Compare with what you use today
Gloves per box differ by size and by product, so every price we quote shows the price per case — with the number of gloves in it — and the price per 1,000 gloves. Send us a photo of the box you use now, and we’ll quote it, or an equivalent from the major brands, on the same basis. Trying a new glove? Approved accounts can request samples, charged at cost unless the supplier provides them, and unopened, undamaged cases can be returned within 30 days of delivery with a return authorization.
Standing orders and delivery
Set a weekly, every-two-weeks or monthly schedule on any quote request, and we confirm it on your quote. Tell us your receiving details once — dock or liftgate, delivery hours, appointment rules and who signs — and we use them for every shipment. One account covers all of your facilities, and every quote names the location it ships to. When a delivery arrives, count the cases against the delivery receipt and note any damage or shortage before you sign.
How your account works
- Request an account — we review every request within one business day.
- Your representative prepares written quotes, valid for 30 days, with the freight basis and lead time.
- Accept quotes in your account; we confirm every order in writing.
- Pay by card, ACH or wire, with Net 30 for approved credit. Our minimum is $500 of merchandise per shipment; smaller orders ship with a $75 delivery fee, in addition to any freight.
As your main supplier, or a second source
Use GTDI as your main supplier, or as a second source for a backorder, a size gap or a product your current supplier doesn’t carry. Either way, you get the brands your staff know, written quotes and one representative. If we can’t source what you need at a sensible price, we’ll tell you.
