Two kinds of product share this page. A face shield is a clear visor on a headband or frame that covers the face; some are sold for medical use and some for industrial work, and each listing says which, as the manufacturer states it. Safety glasses and goggles are eye protection, with lenses and frames made to the standard the manufacturer states.
For eye and face protection at work, the key document is the manufacturer’s statement of conformance to ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 and the marking on the product. We show the standard and the marking exactly as the manufacturer gives them, and never add our own. Some manufacturers direct that safety eyewear be worn under a face shield, and the listing carries that direction.
Then compare what your staff will notice: an anti-fog or scratch-resistant coating, lens tint, whether glasses fit over prescription eyewear, the visor’s dimensions and material, and whether a shield is single-use or replaceable. Your safety program decides which protection a task requires.
We carry face shields and safety eyewear from 3M and UVEX.
