For supply chain, purchasing, value analysis and materials management

A second source, quoted by item number.

Backorders, allocations, non-contract items and planned backup sourcing. Send the item list you already use. We reply with availability, lead time and a written quote that names the manufacturer and part number for every line.

No obligation to order. Requests are reviewed within one business day.

Where GTDI fits

Beside your group purchasing and prime vendor agreements, line by line.

Your agreements govern how outside purchases count. We do not ask you to move contract volume. We quote line by line, so you buy only the lines you need: a backordered size, a second source for a critical item, or a product your contract does not cover.

Three ways in

The situations we are built for.

Backorder or allocation

The same item from a new source

Send the manufacturer name and catalog number. If we can supply the exact item, the quote names it. If we offer an alternate, it is labeled as an alternate and nothing ships without your written approval.

Non-contract item

A line your agreement does not cover

Specialty gloves, a gown level your prime vendor is short on, a disinfectant on a specific EPA list. One quote, one purchase order, one invoice.

Planned backup source

A vendor file that is ready before you need it

Set up the account, file the vendor packet and hold a quoted item list, then order when your primary source cannot ship. Approval carries no obligation to order.

Quote by item number.

Send your item list with manufacturer part numbers, or the specification if you are open on the source. We return a line-by-line cross-reference and a written quote.

Each quote line carries the GTDI item code and generic description, the manufacturer and brand, the manufacturer part number, the unit of measure with its conversion (each, box, case), the regulatory identifier that applies, the country of origin, the lead time and the valid-until date.

Alternates are labeled. If we offer a clinically similar item in place of the one you named, the quote says so on that line. A substitution is any difference from the order confirmation in manufacturer, item number, material, size, thickness, pack-out or country of origin. We make none without your written approval, and an unapproved substitute is treated as a wrong item.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote states otherwise. Lead times are estimates stated on each quote. If a line will be later than estimated, we tell you before it ships and you may cancel it without charge.

For your value analysis file

Documents available at quote stage.

The written quote carries the regulatory record for every line, so your team can verify each product in the public database before a purchase order is raised.

For your vendor file

The vendor packet.

On request we send the documents your vendor setup asks for:

  • Form W-9 with our legal name and tax details
  • Certificate of insurance
  • Copies of licences and registrations
  • Remit-to details, which we confirm by phone and never change by email

Company facts for the file. GTDI is a medical disposables distributor in business for more than ten years, with a team of more than 50 in Los Angeles, California. We buy the product we sell on our own written purchase orders and invoice you directly.

Accounts receivable and recall contacts are listed on the contact page by function, and your representative's direct contact is on your account dashboard.

Ordering and invoicing

How an order moves, in writing at every step.

  1. Quote

Written, valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise, with the freight basis, estimated lead time and payment terms on every line.

  2. Purchase order

Accept the quote in your account, or send your purchase order citing the quote number. Email and portal acceptances count as signed writings.

  3. Order confirmation

We recheck availability, price and freight and confirm the order in writing before anything ships. The confirmation states the expected ship window. You may cancel without charge until it is sent.

  4. Shipment

After shipment we send the carrier's name and the tracking or PRO number. Receiving hours, dock status and appointment rules are recorded on your account and given to the carrier with each shipment.

  5. Invoice

Card, ACH or wire. Net 30 after a credit application with trade and bank references, approved in writing. The credit application asks whether your invoices must carry your purchase order number. We never change payment instructions by email.

Shortages, substitutions and recalls

The rules already in our policies.

Questions supply chain teams ask.

Will buying from GTDI affect our group purchasing compliance?

Your agreements decide how purchases outside them count toward any commitment. We quote line by line, so you can limit purchases to the lines you need.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum and the small-order fee are stated once, on How accounts work. Pallet and truckload quantities follow the manufacturer's pallet configuration, and mixed pallets are available where the supplier builds them.

Can we trial a product before committing a department?

Yes. Approved accounts can request samples, charged at cost unless the supplier provides them. Unopened, undamaged full cases can be returned within 30 days of delivery with a return authorization.

Do you take formal bids and public entity purchase orders?

We quote in writing against your specification and accept purchase orders citing the quote number. Tell us the terms your entity requires and we review them before the order is confirmed.

How do we set up several facilities?

One account covers your whole organization. Each facility is added as a delivery location with its own receiving details, and every quote names the location it ships to.

Why are brands not shown on the public pages?

We list products by specification and keep brand names, logos and prices off public pages as a matter of channel discipline. Your written quote and the customer portal name the manufacturer, brand and item number for every line. How we source explains the policy.

Send the list. Get the quote.

Manufacturer part numbers or specifications, in any format. We reply with a line-by-line cross-reference, availability and a written quote.
