Recall Notification Policy
How we notify you when a product we supplied is recalled — by phone and email, within one business day after we learn of it — and what our notice includes.
Effective: October 5, 2026
This policy explains how GTDI, a Delaware corporation, registered to do business in California (“GTDI”, “we”, “us”), tells customers about recalls of products we supplied. The manufacturer directs each recall. We notify you, keep the records that identify affected shipments, and coordinate returns, replacements and credits. “Business day” means Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
1. Our commitment
When a product we supplied to you is recalled, we contact your organization by phone and by email within one business day after we learn of the recall.
2. How we learn about recalls
- Notices from manufacturers and from the suppliers we buy from. Our Supplier Terms require suppliers to notify us within one business day.
- Checks of FDA’s recall database and import alerts for the products we sell, at least quarterly and before each new purchase order to a supplier.
3. Our records
For every order, we record the products we supplied and the lot numbers shipped, as our suppliers report them. These records show us which deliveries a recall affects.
4. What our notice includes
- The product name, manufacturer and item number
- The lot numbers we shipped to you
- The reason for the recall and its classification, as FDA or the manufacturer states them
- The manufacturer’s instructions, for example to stop using, set aside, return or dispose of the product
- How we will handle returns, replacements or credits
- Your representative’s direct contact details
- A link to FDA’s recall record, once FDA posts it
5. What we ask you to do
- Confirm that you received our notice.
- Check your stock by lot number and set affected product aside.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Tell us how many affected units you have.
6. Replacements and credits
We arrange replacement product or a credit for affected units we supplied, following the manufacturer’s recall instructions.
7. Name a recall contact
Tell your representative who should receive recall notices for your organization, for example your director of nursing, infection preventionist, safety manager or purchasing lead, in addition to the people on your account.
8. If you hear about a recall first
Call 424-832-6485 or email sales@gtdi.net. We check our records for your organization and reply the same business day when you reach us during business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
9. Product complaints
We record every product complaint we receive and report it to the manufacturer. If a product problem may have affected someone’s health, follow your facility’s procedures and consider reporting it to FDA through MedWatch, FDA’s safety reporting program.
